Atlas Auctions ("we," "us," or "our") operates Catalog Caddy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.
| What | When |
|---|---|
| Email address | When you purchase, to create your account and send your license key |
| License key and account status | Credits remaining, subscription status, tied to your license |
| Payment information | Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number |
| Photos you upload | Sent for processing when you run image detection, see Section 3 |
When you run image detection on a lot, the selected photos are sent from the desktop application directly to our server, which forwards them to our image detection technology provider to generate a title and description. We do not store your photos on our servers. They exist only transiently during processing and are not retained afterward. Photos never leave your computer except when you actively choose to run image detection or, separately, when you export a zip file, which happens entirely on your own device and is never uploaded anywhere.
We use the following providers to operate the Service. Each processes only the data necessary for its function:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Image detection technology provider | Used to generate titles/descriptions from your photos |
| Google Firebase / Firestore | Stores account records: email, license key, credit balance, subscription status |
| Stripe | Payment processing and subscription billing |
| Resend | Delivers license key and account emails |
| Render | Hosts our backend server and website |
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos to train any models.
We retain account records (email, license key, credit balance) for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for support and legal purposes. Photos are not retained at all, as described in Section 3.
You can request a copy of the account information we hold about you, or request that we delete your account and associated data, by emailing catalogcaddy@outlook.com. Pennsylvania does not currently have its own comprehensive consumer privacy law, so these rights are offered as a general baseline for all customers. If we take on customers based in California, the EU, or other jurisdictions with their own specific privacy laws (like the CCPA or GDPR), this policy should be revisited to add those jurisdictions' specific requirements.
We use industry-standard measures to protect account data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) between the desktop application and our server, and access-controlled cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Service is intended for business use by auction professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated policy with a new effective date.
